Sign and Wilcoxon tests, Walsh averages. Two-sample procedures. Inferences concerning scale. Kruskal-Wallis test. Measures of association. Chi square and Kolmogorov-Smirnov tests. 

Prerequisite: STA 013 or STA 032 or STA 100

Goals:
Course goal is to acquaint students with the use of nonparametric statistics, indluding specific techniques and models.

Potential Overlap:
Nonparametric procedures are covered briefly in some other courses, but not in depth. Also, nonparametric methodology is discussed in the courses STA 240 A-B but at an advanced research level. From a practical viewpoint, there is no significant overlap with any other of the existing courses.
